Nama to protect hesitant homebuyers against negative equity!

There has been allot of speculation in the last 12 months about how Nama would begin to offload its large property portfolio. In an article in today's Irish Independent the head of Nama, Frank Daly is quoted on his immediate plans to sell off some of Nama's residential property stock. In essence his plan is to offer hesitant home-buyers protection against negative equity.

Negative Equity Mortgages Just Make Sense!

In the UK the banking group Llyods TSB recently started to offer Negative Equity Mortgages to their existing customers. No such mortgage product exists in Ireland yet but there is a real need for one. If you look at the figures, it just makes sense, not only for Negative Equity Homeowners but also for our under capitalised Banks.
